Trying to get pregnant
Trying to get pregnant can be very exciting, but also very disappointing. If you have decided and you’re ready to get pregnant, most likely you want it to happen as quickly as possible. Many couples experience that to get pregnant can take a long time. Some women get nervous after first month of trying to get pregnant, when they get their period, often asking "Am I infertile?".

It is important to know that only 25% of women trying to get pregnant conceive in the first month. Total of 60% of women trying to get pregnant conceive within six months. 80% of women trying to get pregnant conceive within 1 year, and 90% of women trying to get pregnant conceive within 18 months. So there is a pretty good chance you are among these 90%.

Of course, you don't want to wait 18 months. You want to be pregnant fast. This depends on several factors. One of them is good timing. When trying to conceive, it is very important to understand your body and all the processes that take place during your menstrual cycle. Therefore it is important to understand what is ovulation.

What is ovulation?

To get pregnant, know your fertile days.
Ovulation is one of the most important aspects when trying to get pregnant. This occurs once in each cycle, when hormonal changes make the ovaries to release an egg. The egg can be fertilized up to 24 hours after ovulation. If not fertilized, the body gradually removes the uterus lining, and menstruation begins. Sperms can survive in the sperm-friendly cervical mucus for about 48 hours up to 1 week! So the fertile days are in generall about 4 days before ovulation up to 1 day after ovulation. You should try to get pregnant during these fertile days.

How to track fertile days when trying to get pregnant?

There are several ways how to track your fertile days when trying to get pregnant. You can use basal body temperature measurment method, cervical mucus method, cervix position method, OPK testing and others. I recommend to learn more about these methods in order to be pregnant fast.
